Welcome to WordNerdTools ("we", "us", "the site"), available at wordnerdtools.com. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the site, including the Word Finder, Anagram Solver, Scrabble Word Finder, Crossword Solver, Word Counter and all pre-built word-list pages. By using the site you accept these Terms; if you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

1. The service

WordNerdTools is a free reference and utility site for word-game players. All tools run in your browser and are provided free of charge, on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time without notice, and we are under no obligation to maintain, update or support any feature.

2. No warranty

We work to keep our word lists and tools accurate, but we make no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Word validity differs between game dictionaries (for example TWL, SOWPODS and the Words With Friends list), so a word shown here may not be legal in your game. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site.

3. Acceptable use

You may use the site for personal, non-commercial reference. You agree not to:

• scrape, crawl or bulk-download the site's pages or word lists by automated means at a rate that burdens our servers;
• interfere with the operation or security of the site, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to it;
• use the site for any unlawful purpose, or to develop a service that misrepresents our content as your own;
• remove or obscure any notices contained on the site.

4. Intellectual property

The site's original text, page design, code and compilation of word lists are owned by WordNerdTools. Underlying dictionary words are derived from public-domain word lists (web2 / ENABLE family) and remain free for anyone to use. Scrabble, Words With Friends, Wordle and other game names are trademarks of their respective owners; WordNerdTools is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Hasbro, Mattel, Zynga, The New York Times or any other game publisher.

5. Advertising and third parties

The site is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve and measure ads. Ad content is provided by those third parties and does not constitute an endorsement by us. For details on cookies and how to manage ad personalisation, see our Privacy & Cookie Policy. Links to external sites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

6. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page and its effective date. Your continued use of the site after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

7. Termination

We may restrict or terminate access to the site, in whole or in part, at our discretion and without notice, including where we believe these Terms have been breached. Sections 2, 4 and 8 survive any termination.

8. Governing law & severability

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the operator's place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
